Make sure to acquire proper knowledge about The Road Traffic Act and similar laws before riding the e-scooter.
1. Handling of LUUP's e-scooter
- LUUP's e-scooter is classified as a "specified small motorized bicycle".
2. Precautions Before Riding
- Wearing a helmet is a required effort. Please wear a helmet to protect yourself in the event of an accident.
- LUUP original design helmets with safety standards (CE EN1078, CPSC) are available from Amazon.
- Drunk driving is prohibited.
- Riding double is prohibited. Carrying a child while riding is also not allowed.
- When driving, you are not allowed to hold a mobile phone for calls or sending/receiving emails.
3. Precautions During Riding
- Driving on the sidewalk is prohibited. However, on sidewalks with certain signs or markings, vehicles equipped with a 6 km/h mode can pass at a maximum speed of 6 km/h.
- Please use the bike lanes on roads where they are established.
- On roads with vehicle lanes, you must use the first vehicle lane from the left edge of the road.
- When turning right at intersections, please perform a two-stage turn.
4. Notes on Violations and Accidents
- In the event of a violation such as parking violations while using the e-scooter, the driver is primarily responsible.
- If you injure someone or damage property, please do not leave the scene and contact 110 as well as the LUUP Customer Center.
