Subscription plan details
This plan allows users who sign up for a monthly fee of 980 yen to use LUUP for 200 yen per 30 minutes. Even if you are subscribed to a subscription plan, the regular rate will apply for rides where the regular rate is cheaper.
For example, for rides of 7 minutes or less in an area where the regular rate is "basic ride fee of 50 yen + 20 yen per minute," the regular rate will apply because it is cheaper than the subscription plan's "200 yen per 30 minutes."
This plan is recommended for those who use LUUP for long periods of time or who prefer billing in 30-minute increments rather than 1-minute increments.
*The areas covered by the subscription plan are Tokyo, Osaka City (Kindai University is not included), Kyoto City (Maizuru City is not included), Yokohama, Kawasaki, Kobe City (Nesta Resort Kobe is not included), Asagiri, Utsunomiya, Nagoya City, Hiroshima City, Sendai City, Fukuoka City, Kitakyushu City, Takamatsu, Hamamatsu, Okazaki, Naha, and Sapporo.

*Subscription plans are automatically renewed every month. If you wish to stop the automatic renewal of your subscription plan, please stop the automatic renewal from the LUUP app by the day before your subscription plan renewal date.
How to join a subscription plan
- Open the menu screen from the (menu button) in the top left of the app screen
- Select "Subscription Plan" from the menu screen
- Sign up for a subscription plan
- Subscription plan enrollment complete
How to use the subscription plan
Once you sign up for a subscription plan, it will be applied when you ride in the applicable area.
*The subscription plan is available in the following areas: Tokyo, Osaka (Kindai University is not included), Shin-Osaka, Kyoto (Maizuru City is not included), Yokohama, Kawasaki, Kobe (Nesta Resort Kobe is not included), Asagiri, Utsunomiya, Nagoya, Hiroshima, Sendai, Fukuoka, Kitakyushu, Takamatsu, Hamamatsu, Okazaki, Naha, and Sapporo.

Fee
Monthly fee: 980 yen (tax included)
Ride fee: 200 yen (tax included) for every 30 minutes
*If the regular rate is cheaper, the regular rate will be applied.
Example: If you use the service for 4 minutes and 30 seconds (Tokyo/Osaka area)
, the regular rate (basic ride rate of 50 yen + hourly rate of 20 yen per minute * 5 minutes) will be 150 yen.
Subscription plan (200 yen per 30 minutes) will
be 200 yen
. The regular rate of 150 yen will be applied.
Example: If you use the service for 10 minutes and 30 seconds (Tokyo/Osaka area)
, the regular rate (basic ride rate of 50 yen + hourly rate of 20 yen per minute * 11 minutes) will be 270 yen.
Subscription plan (200 yen per 30 minutes) will be 200 yen

The discounted 200 yen will be applied.
Rides over 30 minutes
With the subscription plan, 200 yen is added for every 30 minutes.
- If the ride time is exactly 30 minutes, it costs 200 yen.
- Ride times between 30 minutes and 60 minutes are 400 yen
- Ride times between 60 minutes and 90 minutes are 600 yen
Any fractional part of the time less than one minute will be rounded up. If you exceed the time by even one second, an additional 200 yen will be charged, so we recommend that you finish your ride and return the bike well in advance.
Applying a subscription plan and coupon discounts at the same time
Even if you are subscribed to a subscription plan, coupon discounts will be applied at the same time.

Q. I registered a valid card, but the application failed.
If your application fails repeatedly, an error may occur even if your card is valid.
It may be successful if you wait a while, so please try again the next day.
About automatic subscription renewal
- Subscription plans are automatically renewed every month.
- If you wish to stop the automatic renewal of your subscription plan, please stop the automatic renewal from the LUUP app by the day before your subscription plan renewal date.
- If payment for your subscription plan fails (for example, because your credit card has expired), your subscription plan will not be automatically renewed and you will be terminated.
- Even if you turn off auto-renewal for your subscription plan, the subscription fee will still apply to any rides you make while your subscription is active.
- Even if you cancel the automatic renewal of your subscription plan, you will not receive a refund for the monthly subscription plan fee.
How to cancel your subscription or stop automatic renewal
- You can request auto-renewal from the subscription plan page in the app.
- Once you apply, your subscription plan will be canceled at the expiration date and the next automatic renewal (payment) will not be made.
Precautions
- The subscription plan is available in the following areas: Tokyo, Osaka (excluding Kinki University), Shin-Osaka, Kyoto (excluding Maizuru City), Yokohama, Kawasaki, Kobe (excluding Nesta Resort Kobe), Asagiri, Utsunomiya, Nagoya, Hiroshima, Sendai, Fukuoka, Kitakyushu, Takamatsu, Hamamatsu, Okazaki, Naha, and Sapporo. The subscription plan fee applies to all rides in the eligible areas. Please note that it does not apply to other cities.
- The subscription plan fee will be applied to all rides for which payment is completed during the subscription plan's active period. Please note that even if a ride starts during the active period, if payment is completed after the active period, the subscription plan fee will not be applied and you will be charged according to the regular usage fee.
- The subscription plan validity period begins when you sign up for the subscription plan (or when it is renewed if you are continuing). The subscription plan validity period ends one month after the start of the validity period. For example, if you sign up for a subscription plan at 1:00 PM on November 10th, the subscription plan fee will be applied to rides whose payment is completed after 1:00 PM on November 10th and before 11:59 PM on December 10th.
- Subscription plans are automatically renewed every month. For example, if you sign up for a subscription plan on November 10th, it will be automatically renewed on December 10th. The next automatic renewal will be on January 10th of the following year. You can check the next renewal date in the LUUP app.
- If you want to stop the automatic renewal of your subscription plan, please stop the automatic renewal from the LUUP app by the day before the subscription plan renewal date. For example, if you want to stop the automatic renewal of a subscription plan that is scheduled to automatically renew on December 10th, please stop it by 11:59 PM on December 9th. You cannot stop the automatic renewal on the day of December 10th.
- When you sign up for a subscription plan and when the subscription plan automatically renews, the monthly subscription plan fee will be charged using the payment method registered in the LUUP app. If you have not registered a payment method in the LUUP app, please register a payment method from within the LUUP app. If you change your payment method, the new payment method will be used from the next payment.
- If your subscription plan payment fails (due to an expired credit card, for example), your subscription plan will not be automatically renewed and you will be canceled. Please note that as your membership will be canceled, the subscription plan fee will no longer be applied. Even after canceling your subscription plan due to a payment failure, you can resubscribe by registering a valid payment method.
- Even if you stop automatic renewal of your subscription plan, the subscription plan fee will still apply to rides while your subscription plan is active. For example, if you sign up for a subscription plan on November 10th and stop automatic renewal on November 30th, the subscription plan fee will still apply to rides where payment is completed by 23:59 on December 10th.
- Even if you cancel the automatic renewal of your subscription plan, you will not receive a refund for the monthly subscription plan fee.
- Subscription plans cannot be shared among multiple accounts, nor can they be transferred to an account other than the account they were purchased with.Similarly, if you create a new account due to a change in phone number, you cannot transfer your subscription plan to the new account.
- Please note that LUUP service may end in certain cities before the subscription plan expiration date.
- Monthly subscription plan fees and details are subject to change.
- Please note that subscription plans may be discontinued or new subscriptions may be suspended without notice.
