1. Find a Port with the App
Tap the port pin on the LUUP app map to find a port where an e-scooter is available.
2. Approach the Vehicle and Unlock
When you arrive at the port with the vehicle, it will automatically be detected if your smartphone's Bluetooth is allowed.
If it is not detected, tap the 'Scan QR Code' button on the app and read the QR code attached to the vehicle.
<For Auto Scan>
Bringing your smartphone close to the handle will increase the chances of successful scanning.
If the scan is successful, the following screen will appear on the app.
<For QR Code>
Scan the QR code located on the right side of the handle with the camera.
<For ID Entry>
Enter the 5-digit number written on the QR code.
※ If reading fails, you may also try other vehicles.
3. Setting the Return Port
By setting the port where you will return the vehicle in advance, you can secure a return slot. After starting your ride, you can head towards the port with peace of mind.
※ There are ports where you cannot return the e-scooter. Please check this on the app for details.
※ The return port can be changed anytime during the ride.
※ If the port has set business hours, reservations can be made up to 1 hour before the business hours.
4. Confirming Ride Precautions
Check the precautions and tap the 'Start Riding' button to unlock the lock.
※ If the lock does not unlock, please try the following.
- Try another vehicle
- Review your credit card information
- Close the app and try again
- Check your communication environment
- If you locked the vehicle during a temporary stop while riding, tap the unlock button
If you still cannot start riding, please contact us via the contact form.
After unlocking, check the battery level from the display in the center of the handle.
The battery level shows a total of 4 bars, with each bar representing 25%.
If the battery level display is below 25%, please use it only for short-distance rides or consider using another vehicle.
Lift the side stand and start riding.
5. Enjoy the Ride

※ The e-scooter's front light remains on at all times, day and night.
※ Be careful not to accidentally press the accelerator while moving in pushing scooter mode
Wearing a helmet is a required effort. Please wear a helmet to protect yourself in the event of an accident.
LUUP original design helmets with safety standards (CE EN1078, CPSC) are available from Amazon.
6. When You Want to Make a Temporary Stop
- Find a place where parking is allowed and raise the stand
- Open the app and tap the 'Temporary Stop' button
- The lock will engage
Please note that charges will still apply during the temporary stop.
To unlock and resume your ride again, please tap the 'Unlock' button on the app.
7. When You Want to Change the Return Port
If you want to change the return port while riding to a different destination,
- Tap the port on the map
- Tap the 'Return Here' button
- Change completed
If the return slot at the port is already filled with vehicles or if someone has already reserved it and it is fully booked, you cannot change it. Please select another available port.
