To use LUUP , you must register a credit card.
If you receive a credit card error when registering your payment information or after completing a ride, the following may be the cause:
1. Mistakes or errors in credit card information
Please check that the information you entered does not contain any of the following errors.
- The expiration date "year/month" is entered backwards
- You have entered the security code (the 3 or 4 digit number printed on the back of your card) incorrectly. *We have been experiencing an increase in incorrect entries. Please double-check.
- Expired or about to expire
- You may exceed your credit limit
- Usage is restricted due to reasons from the card issuer
- Your debit card or prepaid card has insufficient funds
2. Restrictions based on card type and issuer
Some cards may not be able to be registered.
- Some prepaid cards such as debit cards and credit cards issued overseas cannot be registered.
3. Resolution and repayment procedure

- Check your credit card information : Please make sure you have entered your credit card information correctly.
- Card validity check : Make sure you haven't reached your card limit or that you have enough money on your prepaid card
- Use a different card : Please register a different valid card
- Contact your card issuer : Contact your issuer to inquire about the validity of your registered card.
Repayment procedure
Once your card is valid, please follow the steps below to make a repayment from the ride history screen.
- On the LUUP app error screenor from the menu button in the top left, tap "Ride History"
- Tap the ride that says "Payment failed" in red.
- If the red ink disappears, the payment is successful.
* Once payment is completed, you will be able to use the next ride.
