What is the navigation function?

• Using LUUP's navigation function, you can travel to your destination and return the car safely and smoothly.
• You can also check the time it will take to reach your destination.
• Looking at or operating a smartphone screen while riding is extremely dangerous and is prohibited. If you wish to operate your smartphone, please do so only after stopping the bike in a safe place.

How to use

For iPhone users

When you start your ride, the route to the return port will be automatically displayed as a blue line. By default, the map is set
to always display the direction of travel up, with the direction of travel fixed at the top .

If the moving map confuses you, try using the "North Fixed Mode." In North Fixed Mode, the map will always be displayed with north at the top.

For Android users

Once you start your ride, a blue line will automatically show you the route to the return port.

*The Android version does not have the "fixed direction of travel up" or "fixed direction of travel north" modes.

What routes are shown?

LUUP provides routes suitable for electric scooters and electric assist bicycles. 
However, depending on road conditions, some routes may be displayed that are not cyclable. When using the service, please follow the actual traffic regulations and ensure safe riding.

I was guided to a one-way street or a route where vehicles were not allowed

Please drive in accordance with actual traffic regulations.

In addition, LUUP's electric kick scooters are classified as "specified small motorized bicycles" under the Road Traffic Act. Therefore, even if there are one-way or no-vehicle signs, both electric kick scooters and electrically assisted bicycles can pass through if there is an additional sign that reads "excluding bicycles" or "excluding light vehicles."

When driving on roads with this sign, please be careful of pedestrians and cars coming from the opposite direction.

The map no longer moves automatically

The tracking setting may be turned off. Please tap the "Return to current location" button displayed in the bottom left.

In rare cases, your current location or direction may not be accurately obtained. In such cases, please drive safely while checking the actual road conditions and restrictions.

[Caution] Operating your smartphone while driving is extremely dangerous and prohibited. Please stop the vehicle in a safe place before tapping buttons or operating the screen.

I followed the route but can't find the return port.

Please refer to the port photos and descriptions. Depending on the port location, you may be directed to the back of the building or to a different entrance.

I want to check the travel time to the return port (iOS only)

The required time cannot be confirmed during the ride, so please check the reservation screen in advance.

Please note that the travel time shown is an estimate based on following the route, and does not include the time it takes to return the vehicle.

• The route information for this feature utilizes the bicycle route search function of the "NAVITIME API" provided by Navitime Japan.
